Medical Software Associates was originally known as Clinical Data Systems. Our business specializes in the support of computer systems and information technology for small and medium sized medical practices. We have been successfully delivering products and services to the medical community for over 13 years.
Clinical Data Systems was founded in 1991 by Gary Higbee as a spin off of his regional forms company, the Association Connection. This company was a supplier of specialized forms with a focus on the medical industry. Gary saw an opportunity to combine his over 25 years of computer knowledge with a good practice management software system. At that time the company became an authorized dealer for “The Medical Manager.” Although the representation of The Medical Manager product ended in July of 2003, the company still supports over 140 sites comprised of more than 300 providers across its marketing area. This support is provided by our staff in Chattanooga and Knoxville Tennessee and Louisville Kentucky.
In 2003 we began operating the company under Medical Software Associates which now employs 19 people serving customers in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio, Michigan, Colorado and New York. That same year we became authorized to represent the MicroMD product which provides a Microsoft Windows based practice management solution for our new customers as well as a migration path for our existing customers still working with The Medical Manager.
Our focus is to offer and support the best of breed products in our service areas for medical practices. This product line up includes practice management applications, electronic medical records systems, document imaging software, automated appointment confirmations solutions, electronic data interchange (EDI) services, as well as electronic claims managements systems and services. In addition to our distinctly medical products we offer complete computer network installation and support, actively monitored backup, antivirus, and employee computer usage monitoring solutions.
We provide ongoing customer service, maintenance, support and training for all the products we offer.
